Lori Escalera, Realtor® is a seasoned agent with over 22 years of experience, 19 of them in Gloucester, Mathews, Yorktown and surrounding areas.  With a determined focus on her clients’ real estate goals, Lori utilizes her knowledge, skills and abilities to secure desired results, striving to make the transaction as stress free as possible. A North Carolina native, Lori moved to Gloucester when she married Joe, a now retired soldier and Department of the Army civilian. She activated her Virginia Real Estate license based on her North Carolina Broker’s License and the reciprocity program. Having made multiple moves, she understands the vital importance of having a good real estate agent who is intimately familiar with the community and has contacts to fulfill possible needs: lenders, home inspectors, closing entities, plumbers, electricians, handymen, contractors, and more. Believing strongly that honest and clear communication is key, she is dedicated to providing her clients top notch service with integrity.

Lori moved to Gloucester from Greensboro, NC in early 2003 when she married Joe, a retired soldier beginning his career in civil service at the time. She has come to adore the area and happily calls it home now. The youngest of 4 children, stepmother to 4 young men & “Gigi” to 4 grandchildren, time with her family is her most cherished, though it is often noisy and chaotic! When she is not matchmaking clients with their dream homes, she loves riding on the back of her husband’s Harley Davidson. This is her preferred way to admire the local countryside! Sunday afternoons after church when the corn fields are almost grown is her favorite time of year to ride. If not the steel horse, then an afternoon with her paint horse, Chubby. She also volunteers with S.C.A.T, a local cat rescue and strongly supports spay/neuter programs. Having battled Lupus for over a decade, Lori advocates for understanding of autoimmune diseases/“invisible” illnesses and is passionate about educating those around her and supporting research for cures to these often debilitating diseases. This journey has deepened her natural compassion for people and it is evident in the understanding and dedication she gives her clients.
